DESCRIPTION:Der trotz seiner Jugend bereits sehr renommierte Wiener Violinist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian\, der in den letzten Jahren ein weltweites Publikum in den berühmtesten Konzerthäusern begeistern konnte\, vereint seine musikalische Kunstfertigkeit mit dem ebenfalls außergewöhnlichen Wiener Pianisten Kiron Atom Tellian. Das Duo wird Werke von Poulenc\, Schubert\, Tchaikovsky und Fauré spielen. \nDas Konzert findet am Samstag 20. Nov. 2021 in The Shoe Factory in Nikosia mit Unterstützung der Österreichischen Botschaft Nikosia statt. \nProgramm: \nPoulenc – Violin Sonata\, FP 119 \nSchubert – Rondo in h-Moll\, D 895 \n*Pause* \nP.I.Tchaikovsky – Meditation op 42/1 \nFauré – Violin Sonata Nr. 1\, Op. 13 \n  \nEmmanuel Tjeknavorian gilt als eines der jüngsten und vielversprechendsten Musiktalent Österreichs. Mit knapp 26 Jahren kann er bereits auf eine Vielzahl von musikalischen Erfolgen zurückblicken: So spielte er in den vergangenen Jahren in den angesehensten Orchestern und Ensembles dieser Welt\, darunter das London Philharmonic Orchestra\, das Gewandhausorchester\, das Mahler Chamber Orchestra\, das London Symphony Orchestra\, das Tonhalle Orchester Zürich und das Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin. In der Saioson 2020/21 debütiere Emmanuel Tjeknavorian erfolgreich als Dirigent beim Tonkünstler-Orchester\, der Camerata Salzburg und beim Sinfonieorchester Basel und folgt somit seinem Vater Loris Tjeknavorian\, der ebenfalls als Dirigent tätig ist. \nKiron Atom\, in Wien geborene Musiker\, debütierte mit neun Jahren in einem Orchester und gewann seitdem zahlreiche Preise bei nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben für Klavier\, Kammermusik und Komposition. Besonders hervorzuheben sind der erste Preis und Haydn Preis beim 17. Internationalen Klavierwettbewerb Ettlingen in Deutschland\, der Grand Prize und Sonderpreise bei der X. DESCRIPTION:The renowned young Viennese violinist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian\, who has been impressing the audiences in prominent musical halls worldwide during the past years\, will be joining forces with the exceptional Viennese pianist Kiron Atom Tellian. The duo will present works by Poulenc\, Schubert\, Tchaikovsky and Fauré. The recital\, which is organised by the Pharos Arts Foundation in cooperation with the Embassy of Austria in Cyprus\, will take place on Friday 19 Nov. 2021 at 20:30 at The Shoe Factory in Nicosia. \n  \nProgramme:  \nPoulenc – Violin Sonata\, FP 119 \nSchubert – Rondo in B minor\, D 895 \n*intermission* \nP.I.Tchaikovsky – Meditation op 42/1 \nFauré – Violin Sonata No. 1\, Op. 13 \n  \nEmmanuel Tjeknavorian is considered to be one of the youngest and most promising Austrian musical talents. Despite his young age he can already look back on large number of musical achievements: For the last years he was playing with the most renowned Orchestras and Ensembles around the world\, including the Mahler Chamber Orchestra\, the London Symphony Orchestra\, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. In the 2020/21 season he made his conducting debut not only with the Tonkünstler Orchestra\, but also with the Camerata Salzburg and the Sinfonieorchester Basel\, thereby following his father Loris Tjeknavorian\, who is also a conductor. \nKiron Atom Tellian\, born in 2002 in Vienna\, played his debut with orchestra when he was nine years old and won since then countless prizes at national and international competitions for piano\, chamber music and composition around the world. Especially noteworthy are the first prize and Haydn prize at the 17th Ettlingen International Piano Competition in Germany\, the grand prize and special prizes at the X. DESCRIPTION:*Postponed. New dates will be announced.* \nThe Goethe-Institut Cyprus and the Pharos Arts Foundation celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. Ludwig van Beethoven (* 1770 in Bonn\, + 1827 in Vienna) – the composer and pianist who developed Viennese Classic and paved the way for the music of the Romantic period – is known all over the world. Influenced by the French Revolution\, he dreamt of a society “which was no longer structured hierarchically but was conceived from the point of view of the individual\, its aim being the development of a community of free individuals.” \nThe well-known Kuss Quartet from Berlin will perform Beethoven’s string quartets on two evenings in November at The Shoe Factory. \nFor their second concert at The Shoe Factory the Kuss Quartet will perform Beethoven’s “Harp” String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat major\, Op. 74 (1809) and the master’s own favorite of his late quartets\, String Quartet No. 14 in C-sharp minor\, Op. 131 (1826). \nKuss String Quartet \nThe Kuss Quartet with Jana Kuss (Violin)\, Oliver Wille (Violin)\, William Coleman (Viola) and Mikayel Hakhnazaryan (Violoncello) are one of the most established ensembles in the world and gives concerts in Europe\, the USA\, South America and Japan. With its unique approach to music-making\, their international career has taken them from New York’s Carnegie Hall to Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw\, from London’s Wigmore Hall to the Philharmonie in Berlin\, their home city. \nSince their inception\, in 2002\, the Kuss String Quartet was awarded first prizes by the German Music Council\, the International String Quartet Competition “Premio Paolo Borciani” and the Borletti-Buitoni Award and was a “Rising Star” of the European Concert Hall Organization.
