Free at last! Alice and Peter are ready to finally enjoy their life as pensioners. However, their pent-up marital problems bubble to the surface on a cruise trip through the Mediterranean. They end up going on separate journeys of self-discovery, both finding unexpected ways of how to spend their golden years.

The Embassy of Switzerland has the pleasure to screen a dramedy directed by Barbara Kulcsar from a screenplay by Petra Volpe (director of “Divine Order” screened in Cyprus, 2018). Golden Years was a nominee for the 2023 Swiss Film Prize and was shown at the following festivals: Solothurn Film Days, Zurich Film Festival, Film Festival Hamburg, Palm Springs International Film Festival.
