Welcome to the “Weeks of the German Language 2022”!

Dear Friends of the German language in Cyprus,

We are thrilled to launch the 6th edition of the “Weeks of the German Language”! This year we are presenting another diverse programme dedicated to the German language and culture of the German-speaking countries, which has been put together with much enthusiasm and commitment by all organising partners.

We are delighted in particular that we are able to inaugurate the “Weeks of the German Language 2022” in the traditional way, with our opening event in the heart of the old city of Nicosia – at Faneromeni Square. Together, we will enjoy delicacies and we ‘ll be dancing to some authentic folks music. Of course, a special programme for our little friends is always included.

This year’s programme is offering something for everyone – film screenings of Austrian, German and Swiss films, concerts with German-speaking and Cypriots artists, book readings and lectures as well as events for youngsters – from 23rd October until 27th November 2022.
