Welcome to the “Weeks of the German Language 2020”!

Dear Friends of the German language,

Welcome to the new website of the “Weeks of the German Language“. We are delighted to present you an interesting programme, prepared with enthusiasm and commitment by all partners!

The pandemic had a big impact on this year’s programme. We would have liked to offer you a more extensive programme, however, the current situation and the applicable precautionary measures restrict us. For the same reason, we, unfortunately, were obliged this year to cancel the traditional opening event and we will furthermore have to go without our popular Christmas market.

As of this year, this website will replace the online brochure and the printed calendar of events. You can now view our events here online and follow us on our Facebook page HERE!

All events will be held in compliance with the current rules of hygiene. Please keep yourself updated with the latest developments, which may have an impact on each event, even at short notice and observe the applicable rules of the authorities, as well as information provided by the organizer. As we usually do not have admission fees or the possibility to make seat reservations for our events, we will follow the principle of “first come, first served“.

This year, we have organized individual events and look forward to seeing you at one or the other with the hope that in 2021, we will be in the position to offer you again the customary full programme.
