The Weeks of the German Language 2020 are here!

The Embassies of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus have the pleasure to announce that the Weeks of the German Language have been scheduled to take place this year, taking into consideration all the applicable pandemic measures of health and safety.

During the Weeks of the German Language, which commence on 24 October and continue throughout November 2020, various events will take place related to the German language and the culture of the three German speaking countries.

Highlights of the 2020 edition: “Beyond 6 Strings” with ten remarkable musicians presenting rarely performed guitar chamber music works of Austrian composers, the films “Lara” (drama, first release 2019) from Germany, the charming comedy “Die letzte Pointe”, (The Last Touch, 2017) from Switzerland, as well as the interactive installation by the Goethe-Institut, “Disappearing Wall”, presenting Europe’s diversity in the form of quotes.
