The International Animation Festival «The Animattikon Project» takes place for the fifth time and embraces a wide range of activities revolving the subject of animated film.

Within the framework of the festival and in collaboration with the German Embassy, we invite you to join us at the presentation of Dr. Christa Pfafferott, main lecturer at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, one of the leading European animation school. During her presentation, she will give an insight on German animation based on examples by award winning films of the Filmakademie and share information about the work of the Filmakademie with the Cypriot audience.

Ms Pfafferott’s presentastion will be preceded by presentations of other academics from other institutions. After the presentations, at 20:00, the festival opens officially at the Rialto Theater with the screening of the officially selected animated films produced by students from all over the world.

About Christa Pfafferott: Since 2021 Ms Christa Pfafferott is lecturing at the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg in experimental film, script writing and content development. She is a writer and director and a passionate storytelling teacher. Her movies have won several awards. Her film “Andere Welt”, “Another World” is currently shown on Netflix. Her latest movie “Die Ecke” “The Corner” (90 Min.) is screened at the Dok Film Festival Leipzig in Germany in October 2022 and will be screened in November on the TV-channel arte. With her stories, she aims to highlight unnoticed topics and touch people in a lasting way.
