Film series for the 20th anniversary of AG Kurzfilm – German Short Film Association

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, AG Kurzfilm – German Short Film Association in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut presents the film series “Protagonistinnen” with seven German short films from the last seven years.

Feature films, documentaries and animated films address topics such as family and family history reflected in German history, childhood and growing up. Female perspectives and protagonists are at the centre of the programme. Belonging and independence are topics as well as body-shaming and self-awareness.

All these films have had a successful international festival run and many of them have been awarded.
