We will delve into the depths of Richard Dehmel’s timeless poem “Verklärte Nacht – Transfigured Night” and experience its transformation into music by the visionary composer Arnold Schönberg. The journey takes us through the verses of the poem, which paint a vivid portrait of love and the mystical power of the night. The musicians will provide sound examples of how Schönberg skillfully transformed the poem into a mesmerising musical composition.
